Sometimes in life we tend to forget about the beauty of things that once were, So today were going to discover some abandoned world treasures. Places I would love to explore at some point in my journey of life. The first above is the constellation called “pegasus” which crashed into an airfield near Mcmurdo, Anartica October in 1970.

Next up we have, Pripyat, Ukraine. Pripyat is a ghost town near the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant which was abandoned in 1986 following the Chernobyl diaster. The diaster was a catastrophe that released heavy amounts of radioactive particles into the atmosphere, which spread over much of Western USSR and Europe.

This place looks wild, Angkor is a region of Cambodia that served as the seat of the Khmer Empire, which flourished from approximately the 9th to 15th centuries. The city’s rulers abandoned the site and resettled near modern Phnom Penh. Theories of abandonment include defeat in battle and shifting religious observances.

In Balaklava, Ukraine, this submarine base remains as leftovers from the Cold War. Not completely abandoned as this site now servers as a museum for locals and tourist.

Last but not least The Haunted Hotel at Tequendama Falls. This spot used to be a prime stop for wealthy travelers when it opened in 1928, however the Bogata river became contaminated driving away the steady business flow. The doors finally closed in the early 90′s, eerily this place was the chosen location where many committed suicide, which is why this place is considered haunted, I have to visit.
